Paint Chip Halloween Garland

I know it may be hard to believe but my Paint Chip Halloween Garland was the first time I crafted with paint chips! Yeah, just a little behind in the trends! I'm positive it won't be the last time either!
Of course this was very easy and I did it one night after Lil' Hunkie was in bed. Didn't take long, what was time consuming was trying to decide on a shape!

{Supplies:}
Paint chips
Scrapbook paper
square punch
scissors/paper cutter
mini clothespins, twine

{How to:}
Using my paper cutter I cut the bottom off of each chip, just above the punch out hole. I punched out the holes, and now had dots which I saved and used.

I then made a template. I did this because it took me several tries to get the angle just right!
Then I cut all my chips to match my template.

Then using my square punch, I punched out squares in the two scrapbook papers. After rearranging a few times settled on the below pattern. Square, dot, clothespin.  I then started in the middle of my twine and pinned on the chips, hung on the fireplace and done! So easy!

 Using the clothespins allowed me to skip gluing! Ha!

What's your favorite way to use paint chips?

Happy Thursday!

What a cute idea! I haven't tried to make anything with paint chips so I'm really inspired. Won't you come by and share at Totally Transformed Tuesday? I know my readers would love to see your garland idea. Hugs, Peggy http://pjhdesignsoneofakind.blogspot.com
