For the next few Thursdays I'll be sharing some simple decor projects from my craft room. Starting off with my navy Doily Art Board. The only thing that I bought for this project was navy blue and metallic taupe craft paint. The board was a left over piece from making a decor piece for Lil' Hunkie's nursery. And I keep doilies on hand for parties.
Supplies:
piece of plywood
doilies
paint
foam brush
sanding block
saw tooth hanger
I simply painted my board and then positioned the doilies how I wanted them. Then I took the metallic taupe paint and painted over the doily edges. I free handed the outside edge, not wanting it to be perfect. Once it dried I removed the doilies and lightly sanded it. I had hot glued the saw tooth hanger on but it gets pretty warm in the afternoons in that room and it actually fell off the wall while I was working on other stuff! So my good ole' dad cut down the nails that came with the hanger so it could be nailed on.
And that's it! It turned out great, especially for using things I had on hand basically!
Upcoming Craft Room Projects:
Canvas Redo
Pick Your Plum Block
Sewing Machine Cover
Happy Thursday!!
