Welcome To Our Home!

Hallelujah! I am finally showing you our new house!  Last Saturday was my first time entertaining so I took advantage of the opportunity and took a bunch of pictures! Is everything exactly how I want it? Not one bit! Settling in is a process and it's ok that I'm not done yet!
{This is what I keep telling myself!}  I will be having guests in July and August and I have goals set of things I want done by those dates.  I wanted our flower bed and outside paint touched up before last Saturday and thanks to my hubby got the flower bed started.  The paint is another story!  We had installation installed to help with the electricity bill and went to find paint and struck out.  So it gets moved to do by my July date.
For the inside, the entry way, a closet for myself, organizing the 3rd bedroom, and curtains are all major things still needing to be done.

Here we go...lots of pictures and for time and my sanity sake these are not edited at all!
Come on in!!

How about that tan I got going on?

Living room....
{'entry way' area to the right...empty wall!}

{There's a coat closet to the left!}

Den....
{Started my closet....behind that sheet!}

 Don't mind the fishing stuff and I still have decor to hang over by the desk.

Living Room from the Den...

Dining Room...
That door goes down into my craft room.

Not sure about the wall decor... and I need something for the left corner....

Kitchen...

 I love the window over the sink!! I always wanted that!!

Custom pantry built just for me!! And it didn't take long to fill up!!

Island built just for me too!

Craft Room, Laundry Room, Sunroom!!

Hallway...

Full Bath...

Lil' Hunkie's room....the biggest bedroom....
Could use some more decor but might need to switch it out since this is what it was when he was born! I haven't decided yet!

Bulletin board was used for his 1st birthday...I have chalkboard vinyl, whiteboard vinyl and some metal squares to redo it! It's on the to do list!

3rd Bedroom...
I have not gotten rid of one single thing of Lil' Hunkie's!  He needs a sibling and it might be a brother!

Master Bedroom....
Still need something for over the bed....
{Sorry it's blurry! I didn't realize it!}

Master 3 Quarters Bath....

From the bath...

Back of house....

Off of craft room....
Someone day I'd like for this area to be a patio!

Backyard....

And looking out the front door....our drive...and Lil' Hunkie's sand pile that was left by the seller.

We are truly blessed to have really stumbled upon this place!  We have a friend who is a builder and Hunkie asked me to call him to see if he had any land for us to build on. His mom did, 2 acres adjacent to the house his parents used to live in that he remodeled.  Well before we walked the land we were curious to see the inside of the house and Hunkie liked it right away.  Our friend was fixing to put the house and it's 3 acres on the market. We walked the land, our friend even took us up the back road to the land.  Hunkie flat out asked what he would want for the house....me; I wanted to know for the whole shebang!
House and 5 acres!
We went home, Hunkie was gungho but I was in figuring out mode.  The closet space was lacking and there was no pantry.  And the master bedroom/bath was pretty small! Oh and no garage either.  Our friend called not long after we'd been home with a price we just couldn't pass up.  A house that was double the square footage with 5 acres for the same payment we currently had?  Yes I can make do with what was lacking!  I even made a pros and cons list with the pros far out weighing the cons!  I mean I have a craft room!!  And because our friend's wife was so excited for us she fangled my custom built pantry and island.  God is good! And guess what I had prayed the whole time we were trying to sell our house?
"Lord, I thank You that You have a place prepared for my family.  A place that is set aside for us, a place that is all our own and that we won't have to compete for it."
Uh-huh!  We are truly blessed!

So while there's still work to be done, it's ok because I'm at home in the place God prepared.

Happy Thursday!
