We have an awesome children's program at our church called Orange. Each month there's a theme and we view a short video at the beginning of the month to hear what that month's theme is.
During June's video I heard a sentence that stuck with me.
"God is calling us to a relationship not a religion."
What this means to me is God's not interested in actors, He's interested in family. When we put effort into our relationship with Him the better representatives we are of Him. But if we're just acting, we're simply no good to anyone.
"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord. You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me."
Psalm 139: 1-5 NIV

I don't know about you but I'm constantly striving for what that scripture says!!
Have a blessed weekend!
