Our youth group is on their way today on our annual Mission Trip to Big Heart Orphanage in Reynosa, Mexico. Last year I wrote this post the day they left and it's still bittersweet! I'm so proud of them for setting aside a week of their summer to be missionaries.
I stumbled across the following art yesterday and it's words ring true today....
Makes you wonder what the world would be like without missionaries. A lot less people spending eternity without their families for sure. Today I'm thankful for all missionaries. Those who go to the undesirable places and those who go to their backyards. Our teen trip hasn't ever been a 'roughing it' trip, in my opinion. We've always had a bed to sleep in and a shower to daily stay clean. And the dorm rooms are air conditioned. But there's not been one trip in vain. Not one.
What's been your experience with the mission field?
Happy Saturday!
