Whew! This past weekend was a doozy!! Not only was it filled with birthday celebrations and church merging/unity service but why not throw some earthquakes to the mix as well! Crazy stuff!
{We are ok!}
{We are ok!}
Just wanted to show you a few photos of how we celebrated Lil' Hunkie turning 2!
His actual birthday was Thursday and we started the day off with presents....laptop, camera, clothes, and pj's. Of course he wanted nothing to do with the clothes!! Then later we had some mini white cupcakes with fluffy icing...
These little suckers were so tasty!! I used my Babycakes maker, of course!!
This might be my new favorite icing...
Then on Saturday my in laws came down and brought Lil' Hunkie a new stuffed Mickey Mouse and a tractor/truck play set...he loved both. We had turtle cake and ice cream with them....
How fun that my mother in law got a blue version of the candle I had!! ☺
Finally that evening is when all my family came over...it was a tight fight but we had a good time and Lil' Hunkie loved having his cousins to play with! He made a haul as well with a play pot with veggies, Little People tractor (that he loves to dance to the song it plays!), books, more clothes and pj's (thanks mom!) and his own little bean bag chair that he has already tried to put on the couch and then sit on!!
Here's how I decorated....
I found some awesome free printables from Embellish via Pinterest and just used what I had on hand to complete everything!
Paper sacks leftover from last year...I just switched the label! And I had the right amount that I needed!
How about that cupcake stand? Got it at good ole' Target for half off!! And I was able to get 2 so it was like getting one free!
Hunkie chose strawberry cupcakes with vanilla icing...um!
These were actually straw flags but worked great as napkin rings!
Cute banner!! Sorry about the lighting...our house faces the west...evening sun!! I just taped it to a piece of twine and hung!
I loved how it all turned out!! Simple but yet still special! I tell ya, getting to use those printables makes a difference since I wasn't planning on anything big like his 1st birthday. Thanks Embellish!!
The package includes several other elements that I didn't even use!!
Feel free to get your own...
