I admit I'm ready for fall. But just can't bring myself to decorate for it yet! We celebrate Halloween by welcoming fall....I don't decorate with witches or ghosts, etc. So it's usually pumpkins and leaves, etc. Plus we are still trying to sell our house so I've tried to keep the holiday decor a bit more toned down. Currently, I have my Summer Burlap Wreath and Summer Garden Flag out. Well thanks to the summer heat and evening sun they're looking a little tired!
Enter my Alma Mater and the start of College Football! Woohoo!
I thought I do one more change to my Burlap Wreath with OSU's colors before putting it away for a while!
My wonderful momma had left over fabric from making Lil' Hunkie an OSU quilt when he was born and so she let me have some! Thanks momma!!
I wound up not using the white OSU fabric....it still turned out fantastic!
Here's what I did:
I took the black/orange OSU fabric and cut out the Pistol Pete and logo squares and then cut along the bottom with pinking shears. Then I hot glued them to a piece of jute.
I then made 6 fabric flowers...1 black, 1 orange...both the same size....2 orange gingham, 2 black gingham...all the same size. Then I hot glued a cluster of 3 {below} to a piece of felt and then cut the excess felt off.
Using tacks I tacked on the jute with the fabric squares and the flower clusters at the corners.
All done!! Go Pokes!!
There! A perfect way to transition between Summer and Fall!
See my Link Parties Page for where I'll be having fun at!!
Happy Thursday!!
This is so adorable! I love the box look of the wreath, rather than the usual circle. Great job as always!
