Vintage Gwen Chapel- A Pie For Healing

I was going to just let my reminder about the Bash be the only post for today.
Then I read about Mikey.
Through The Tomkat Studio via Facebook via I Am Mommy and finally to
Jennifer Perillo doesn't know me from Adam.  But her inspiring tribute to her husband has touched me.
She lost him unexpectedly to a heart attack.  And sounds like he worked very hard for his family...he recently worked 9 days straight.
And that is where I got to thinking that I could easily be in the same situation, really we all could.
My husband works very hard for us too and unfortunately his current job is more challenging mentally then physically. And he has worked months straight without a day off-Oil Refinery Turnaround.
He's the typical tough guy.  And he probably won't 'get' why I made him a pie in honor of Mikey.  But that's ok.  He will get that I did because I love him and appreciate him more than he knows.
And that what's A Pie For Mikey is all about.

Jennifer requested that everyone make a pie and share it with their loved ones to help her heal.
An outstanding request that I just couldn't get off my mind.

Dear Jennifer,
May you find comfort in inspiring us all to love.

Ephesians 3:20 The Amplified Bible
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].
