Have you met me?

December 2009-a month after having Lil' Hunkie...I had trouble with those dark spots on my face.

March 2010 after getting new frames!

I wanted to take a post and draw your attention to my 'Meet Me' page.
I recently added some links to the page for you, my Fabulous Follower, to get to know me better. And though my blog isn't about my personal life, I know it helps to know a little about the author.
I hope you realize that at any time you can ask me anything and I will try my best to answer.  Also, please let me offer myself as a prayer partner.  I know for myself, that it helps to know I'm not alone in a struggle.  And I'm of the opinion that this life is too short.  I think you should always give hugs and kisses and at least say 'I love you' when you feel it. And definitely rely on brothers and sisters in Christ to 'have your back'.   So feel free to make a comment or send me an email (use the cute button in the sidebar) at any time.

And here's a little something I did recently.  Being Mission Coordinator includes figuring out a t-shirt to remember the trip by and happens to be fun for me!  While I didn't draw the graphic I did come up with the 'equation' idea and think it turned out pretty good!!

"Youth on Fire"-the name of our youth group is represented by the flame
plus
the hands and feet of Jesus
plus
Big Heart Orphanage-the place we've gone for 11 years now!-represented by a big heart
equals
all of that to the 10th power!

So, thanks so much for reading Vintage Gwen, it really means a lot to me to have you follow!
(It may seem like I say this a lot but I really do mean it!)

Have a Happy Day!!

  1. Oh, I love this post! First, I had the dark spots after my first son too. My mom kept telling me I didn't smooth in my makeup correctly--lol. Those pregnancy hormones did a number on me in all kinds of ways! The spots definitely faded over time. I love your light hair and frames in the second pic! You look great! I LOVE that you offer to pray for your readers. What an encouragement to them! You are a lady Barnabas! Love it! You can be praying for us--my hubby needs a new job. His job is laying him off as of Labor Day (God's blessing that they told us early so he can look for a new job). We know God has a perfect plan and timetable. Our main prayer is we react with trust and confidence in Him, being correct ambassadors for Christ! Finally, your t-shirt is darling. I love the equation idea too. What a GREAT idea! Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blogging tips post. I laugh at how little I know or do, but there are people who know less! : ) Have a great week, Jennifer!
