When I learned of the earthquake in Japan I had several thoughts and emotions. One thought was, "I can hear people now...'where was God?'" And while I haven't heard it yet I'm sure there are plenty thinking it. My belief is that God was there, He heard the cries and answered in His way. Proverbs 15:3 says "The Lord is watching everywhere, keeping his eye on both the evil and the good." (NLT)
Another thought I had was that the earth, God's creation, is telling us of Jesus's soon return. I had to lead worship last Sunday and I picked out the songs before the earthquake. The first one was Evermore by Hillsong which had these words..."Even if my world falls I will say, Above all I live for Your Glory"
and the second was You'll Come also by Hillsong...."As surely as the sun will rise
You'll come to us, As certain as the dawn appears".
You'll come to us, As certain as the dawn appears".
All those effected have been on my heart as I'm sure they have been yours. Some beautiful blogging ladies started a movement, For Japan With Love. If you're wanting a way to help then check it out.

Isn't it so comforting to know that even in the darkest most tragic moments, God is here and in control? I lost my cousin this last summer and it has been hard, he was young and newly married. But he is with the Lord now and it gives us all a new meaning about going home. So glad to have that comfort!
I agree Natalia!! So sorry about your cousin but glad to hear he's with the Lord. I'm very thankful that God is faithful and always in control! Thanks for reading my chapel.
