I've been wanting to make a tray out of a picture frame for quite some time now. I've seen this done before; as a decor item and as a serving tray and wanted to see how one would turn out. And while thinking about what I'd do with it once done I came up with a 3rd use!
First thing to do....go to the Goodwill store and buy a $2 frame.
Other supplies:
paint and brush
decorative paper
tape
Not sure how old this is, it has some chips which is fine since I painted it.
Cut paper to be just a little bit bigger than picture back. I used a treat sack I got on sale at Hobby Lobby after Valentine's.
Tape paper, kinda wrapped back like a present.
Paint.
Waala!!!
Use #1 Decorative centerpiece:
Use #2 Serving Tray:
Use #3 Perfume Display:
So easy! I have another frame I bought as well. Now what to do with it...........

ReplyDeleteThanks girl! Glad you like it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the red and black--two of my favorite colors. I think almost any frame should be black. Love it! I really love the first way you used the frame, but they are all really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chiara! I have a lot of red and black in the house right now!
